The Biltmore Estate Winery & Vineyards established its magnificent vineyards in 1971. By 1977 Biltmore created their first wines. In 1985 Biltmore opened its newly constructed winery to the public, which once was an old dairy barn. Biltmore Estate Winery & Vineyards has become the most visited winery in the United States.

Biltmore Estate & Gardens was built in the 1895 by George Vanderbilt.

"Biltmore produces a grape harvest of approximately 300 tons of Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Viognier" (Biltmore).
Biltmore's wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cardinal's Crest, Vanderbilt Claret, Merlot, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, "as well as sparkling wines produced in the 'methode champenoise'" (Biltmore)"
The Biltmore Estate Winery produces up to 100,000 cases annually. That equates to 250,000 gallons of wine each year.
Biltmore's wonderful wines are distributed to Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, and soon to be found in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
